About the Department of Musical Arts
The Department of Musical Arts was established in 1977 as the Department of Music Education at the university, later developing into one of the core academic departments of the Center of Fine and Applied Arts and then the Faculty of Arts and Design since 1988. Since its inception, the Department has taken on the mission of preparing artistic and academic musical cadres through integrated theoretical and practical training in music education, instrumental performance, and sound engineering.
The Department today comprises three specialized academic programs: the Music Education Program (MME), the Instrumental Performance Program (MIP), and the Sound Engineering Program (MSE) — programs that together reflect a comprehensive academic vision pursuing quality and excellence, graduating students capable of competing in the artistic and educational job market.
