About the Department

Interior Design is a field concerned with people and their interior and exterior environments and the continuous developments within them, aiming to create a functional and aesthetic environment that meets individual needs and enriches human potential for a better life. The Department was established by decision of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research No. (936) of 2021.

Mission

Advancing artistic taste and creativity and elevating society to a level befitting our beliefs and faith, through distinguished educational and research programs in the fields of design and interior architecture.

Vision

Leadership and excellence in artistic education, scientific research, and consultancy programs, providing community services in the fields of design and interior architecture, and reaching a distinguished standing among peer design faculties and interior design departments locally and internationally.

• Keeping pace with scientific developments in design and interior architecture
• Providing graduates with a high level of professional and academic qualification
• Preserving Libyan identity in all its details within our modern buildings
• Engaging with various sectors and providing services and consultancy
• Preparing researchers and scholars to showcase the Libyan artistic heritage
